Downstairs Convention Zones
As well as events and tournaments scheduled throughout the day, there will be a number of Zones which you can drop in to at any time to chill-out, relax and game or socialise with other members.
Modern Zone - Come and enjoy the latest games on the modern-era consoles. There will be casual setups for Brawl, Mario Kart, Street Fighter 4, Gears of War 3, Halo Anniversary, Modern Warfare 3 and many other games.
Retro Zone - A wide variety of consoles from the 8-bit/16-bit era right through to the original Playstation and N64. Come enjoy your favourite classics. This area is sponsored by RetroGT.com and supported by Game-Link and Retroactive.
Music Zone - Where the karaoke, rock band, guitar hero and DDR setups shall be.
Downstairs Stage 2 - Downstairs in the bar will be a variety of music, performances and parties to chill-out to and enjoy. See the timetable for more information.
Upstairs
Battle Zone - Where most of the Stakes Tournaments will take place.
LAN Zone - The LAN Zone will be bring your own pc. Come along, set up and compete. Confirmed tournaments are Minecraft, TF2 and Counter Strike Source. This area is run and sponsored by fragradio.co.uk
Artists Alley & TCG - This area shall contain tables for attendees to sit down and draw casually and an art wall for what you draw to be put up. Make sure to drop by! There will also be an area to participate in Trading Card Gaming, with YGO and MTG tournaments planned as well as casual play.
Racing Zone - Bought to you by TORA and other exhibitors, we will have a selection of driving simulators available for you to play.

- All signups occur on the day in their relevant zones.
- Most tournaments are free to enter. The stakes ones have all entered money put into the pot for big cash-prizes.
- All tournaments allow you the option to bring your own controller if you wish.
- For tournaments which cost, all cash is split in a 60-30-10 fashion for 1st-2nd-3rd.
- All signups open at 11am for every tournament at the start of each day.

Ultimate Gaming Championship
The Ultimate Gaming Championship is designed to be the ultimate-test of your gaming abilities. With a £100 prize for the winner, it will be the highlight of London Gaming Con! Best of all it is completely free to enter - you have nothing to lose and absolutely everything to gain!The winner of the Ultimate Gaming Championship shall be added to the London Gaming Con Hall of Fame (a new section of the website that will be added after the first LGC) and will also be presented with a certificate in the closing ceremony as you are crowned the Champion of gaming!
How it Works - Saturday Qualifying
- ALL Saturday Tournaments are Qualifiers - When you enter ANY tournament on the Saturday, you mark on your signup if you wish to be eligible for the Ultimate Gaming Championship. So that's any tournament that the Retro Zone, Modern Zone, Fighting Zone, Song & Dance Zone, Handheld Zone, etc etc are doing. Basically EVERY game-related tournament gives you the opportunity to earn points to qualify!
4-2-1 scoring - If you come 1st in a tournament, you get 4 points. 2nd gets you 2 points, 3rd gets you 1 point. The top 4 qualify for the finals - To be held on the Sunday... Plus there will be four reserves in case anyone has to drop out. You will be texted on the Saturday evening at about 9pm to be inform you if you've qualified.
How it Works - Sunday Finals (3pm thru to 4:30pm)
Setup - Each player will pick one game (each game may only be played once). Where the game is 4-player, all play at once. Where the game is 2-player, standard knock-out format. 4-2-1 scoring applies.
Special Guest Commentary - We will be having a big-name commentate on the games! Stay tuned as we announce who it'll be!
Sunday Theme Day: Super-Sonic-Sunday
Zooming in on the Sunday of London Gaming Con shall be our special Sonic-themed day - Super-Sonic-Sunday! The UK Sonic community will be coming together at London Gaming Con to put on a series of events and parties for new and old Sonic-fans alike to enjoy!Highlights will include -

Non-Tournament Events (Daytime)
There will be a retro zone, modern gaming, handheld zone, LAN gaming, DDR zone, tournament battles, gaming dealers, trading card gaming and more areas besides! Sonia Leong and Sweatdrop shall be present to do several artist and manga related workshops and talks.Many more events and talks to be confirmed including game-developing talks, art workshops and many quirky and fun events such as a Sonic Blind-folded contest!
Bring & Buy - The bring and buy will take place on the Sunday. Make sure to bring along your goods and we will sell them for you. Note that a 10% commission will be taken which will go toward con-funds.
Cosplay Masquerade - Would you like to show off your cosplay to masses? Perhaps perform a comedy sketch of some gaming-based humor. Strut your stuff and have a great time at one of the greatest traditions. Want to enter? Go signup at registrations/ops! There will be a £30 cash prize for the best entry as determined by our panel of judges, and a pick from the goodie-box for the best two runners-up. To be eligible for the prize in the masquerade, your costume must have been made by you. If your costume was bought off ebay, you are still allowed to enter, but you will not be able to win!
Dub That Gaming Theme - Come up on stage and sing to classic gaming songs. The twist? You make up the lyrics. Come on up and entertain us! Please bring the track you would like to use on USB.
Whose Gaming is it Anyway? - Based on the popular tv series, rounds will include Genres, Scenes and Props. Get your team together now!
Ultimate Gamers Quiz - A special hard-core gaming version of the Pub Quiz. The gloves are off now as we grill your gaming knowledge to the extreme!

Evening Entertainment (6pm to Past Midnight)
There will be bands, parties (till 1am in the morning from some of the top gaming DJs such as Nintendisco, the UK's #1 gaming clubnight) and guests (naming just two - comedian, musician and gaming sensation brentalfloss will be doing a live concert and CoLD SToRAGE, creator of music for over sixty games including Lemmings, Wipeout series will be doing a set of his best-music) in addition to too many cash-winning gaming tournaments to list!Saturday Night Party - Nintendisco - The UK's #1 gaming clubnight, Nintendisco shall be rolling into London Gaming Con to host the Saturday-Night Party! Nintendisco was created by Dave and Nicky in September 2010. Well known names on the London music scene for many years, they have both been involved with music successfully from touring around the world, releasing records and living the rock .n roll dream. They decided to combine their knowledge and great experience with the gaming and party worlds to create a unique gaming/clubbing experience.
Sunday Night Sonic v Mario Party (6pm onward)- We will be hosting a special Sonic v Mario 90s party. As well as Sonic and Mario music, we will be playing 80s and 90s classics from the era when th gaming world really was red v blue! As part of this party, there will be Sonic and Mario tournament gaming - support a side, earn points and help establish once and for all whether team Sonic or team Mario reigns supreme at LGC! The tournaments shall involve two Sonic games and two Mario games. This is a team-tournament, so rather than winning individually, you earn points for your side. The side with the most points wins. It's free to enter and the prize is the pride that your team won (and bragging rights)! We encourage people attending to cosplay as Sonic/Mario characters for this party! Late Night Karaoke Bar (Both Evenings) - Let loose and go wild by singing till your heart's content at our Late-Night Karaoke Bar! Do you think you're the next big-singer in town? Come along and give it a try!
Midnight Cinema (Both Evenings) - Chill out upstairs in our late night cinema, away from all the music and watch cult and anime until midnight with your fellow attendees!
